F-35B performs flight and hover at Farnborough Air Show

The short take-off and vertical landing version of the F35 Joint Strike Fighter series offered a great public performance at the Farnborough Air Show after a much anticipated wait. The aircraft performed a fly-past and then showcased its ability to hover. The world’s most advanced stealth aircraft is propelled by the Pratt & Whitney F135 afterburning turbofan engine and the STOVL variant that includes a forward lift fan.
